What is Sugaring?

Sugaring is a gentle, all-natural method of hair removal that uses a simple paste made from sugar, lemon, and water. Unlike traditional wax, sugaring removes hair in the natural direction of growth, helping to reduce breakage, irritation, and ingrown hairs while leaving the skin incredibly smooth.

Because the sugar paste adheres primarily to the hair rather than the skin, it’s an excellent choice for sensitive skin and delicate areas. With regular treatments, many clients notice finer, slower hair regrowth and healthier-looking skin.

  • Most clients find sugaring to be more comfortable than waxing. While you may feel some brief discomfort during the service, many people report that it becomes easier with regular appointments as the hair grows back finer.

  • Unlike wax, sugaring is applied at body temperature and removed in the direction of hair growth. This helps minimize breakage, reduces irritation, and often makes the treatment more comfortable, especially for sensitive skin.

  • Hair should be about 1/8 to 1/4 inch long—approximately the length of a grain of rice. If you’ve been shaving, we recommend waiting about 10–14 days before your appointment.

    • Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment.

    • Arrive with clean skin free of lotions, oils, or deodorant on the treatment area.

    • Avoid tanning immediately before your appointment.

    • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
